How to Nominate

Our honorees are selected from nominations submitted by the community. Anyone may nominate an Asheville Living Treasure by sending letters of recommendation to the Living Treasures Committee.

If you know of an exceptional Asheville or Buncombe County area person, 70 or older, who has made a difference in the lives of others and who has benefitted our community, please take the time to let us know.

Nominations may be made below by online submission or via regular mail. Please view the online nomination form for a description of the information we require.  If you choose to send a letter please include this specific information.  The more people who send nominations, the more complete the portrait we will have of the nominee.  Letters may be collected and sent by the person submitting or they may be sent separately.

Suggestions to include in your letter:

How has the nominee's service benefited the community and how have they inspired other people?  Do they embody the qualities of kindness, courage, wisdom, grace, authenticity, humor, respectfulness and generosity of spirit? Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.  We are happy to offer assistance with composing a letter of nomination.

Nomination Letters may be sent by regular mail, e-mail or online by filling out the form below and selecting the submit button at the bottom of the page.
